Description
Argh, finally! Completed in about 5-6 Hours in a 30°C environment with no fan - I sacrificed my fan to cool my computer in an attempt to prevent it from dying on me. Thank God it didn't - I hardly ever save my work. 
This is the painting I was working on which is (now) inspired by the song, which was inspired by this painting (it was incomplete then). o.O Oh, nevermind.
Anyway, I paid more attention to the details this time, and painted everything - from the Earth, to the Starglider, to the stars, the Sun and the lens flares. This was my first attempt to paint lens flares, I don't know if they work out well or not, so please leave your opinion in the comments section.
Okay, I admit. I did use a cheating technique here (if you would consider it cheating); I painted everything in monotone and overlay-ed a color layer after.
I would love to expand more on the Starglider's EVA suit here; more specs and stuff. I'll probably make a concept piece for his suit next time.

Tweaked the image a little; added some detail on the gloves, made the Starglider more 'solid', changed the right arm slightly, and changed the opacity of the celestial cloud in the bottom-right.

this deserves waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy... more attention then it has 
!! about the hands: it certainly looks like uve mastered them here, the only thing i can say is a lot of people just show the basic shape of the hand without showing where the knuckles and joints r which can take away the realistic edge... but, it dosnt look like u need any advice
